Those of us who got bumped from the flight used the day well --we trekked out to Debre Damos, one of Ethiopia’s most important monasteries with Ethiopia’s oldest standing church. On our way back we stopped to see an amazing 5th c. B.C. temple at Yeha. It was one of our richest days yet.
